These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Smart Skills Institute (the "Platform"), including our website, member dashboard, courses, and related services.

Smart Skills Institute is operated by Doloris Diane Crawford, a Sole Proprietor, located at 718 Preston Ave, Lewiston, ID 83501, United States.

By creating an account, purchasing a course, or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and our posted policies, including our Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1) Eligibility and Accounts

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree the information you provide is accurate and up to date.
• You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

2) What We Provide

We offer digital education products, including:

• One-time purchases of individual digital courses
• Subscription memberships (monthly recurring plans) that may include access to selected or multiple courses and features

Access is delivered digitally through your account on the Platform.

3) Digital Delivery and Instant Access

Most products provide instant access after successful payment. You agree that we may provide access immediately upon purchase. If you experience access issues, contact us and we will assist.

4) Payments, Pricing, and Billing

• Payments are processed securely via Stripe or Stripe's checkout/customer portal.
• For subscriptions, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.
• For one-time purchases, you authorize a single charge at checkout.
• Prices and plan features may change. If we change subscription pricing for existing subscribers, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

5) Cancellations

• You can cancel subscriptions anytime through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal (if enabled).
• Cancellation stops future renewals; you typically keep access until the end of the then-current billing period unless access is terminated for violations.

6) Refunds

Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7) Acceptable Use

You agree you will not:

• Share your account login or allow others to access paid content through your account
• Copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or publicly share course content
• Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, or security features
• Use bots/scrapers to access the Platform in a way that harms performance or violates restrictions
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users or staff
• Use the Platform for illegal or fraudulent purposes

8) Intellectual Property

All content, videos, text, downloads, branding, and platform materials are owned by Smart Skills Institute or its licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal, non-commercial use while you have valid access.

9) User Content (If You Post Anything)

If the Platform allows comments, community posts, or uploads:

• You are responsible for what you post.
• You grant us a license to display and operate that content as needed to provide the service.
• We may remove content that violates these Terms or is inappropriate.

10) Service Changes and Availability

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the Platform from time to time. We try to minimize disruption, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

11) Termination and Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Platform, or engage in fraud or abuse (including payment disputes). If your account is terminated, your right to use the Platform ends immediately.

12) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Platform and content are provided "as is" and "as available"
• We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• We do not guarantee specific results from using our courses

13) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart Skills Institute will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in Idaho, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
